DIVING

Although being surrounded by one of the most beautiful lagoons in the Maldives, the Taj Exotica does not have its own house reef. The lack of house reef is countered by trips away from the island to participate in some snorkelling and diving. The resort is partnered with Dolphin Base Dive Centre who offer PADI certified courses.

The Lagoon Villas are positioned over the lagoon, with private sun decks and access to the lagoon. The Deluxe Lagoon Villas have more privacy, with bath tubs over looking the lagoon. The interiors are stylish and luxurious.

The Deluxe Lagoon Villas with plunge pool are similar to the above rooms, with the addition of a plunge pool and a day bed area.

The Deluxe Beach Villas are literally 5 metres from the lagoon and include a private courtyard with shower, a tropical garden and a plunge pool with private veranda.

The 2 Bedroom Deluxe Beach Villa Suites are also extremely close to the lagoon, with stylish interior and space coming from the two bedrooms and living room. The master bedroom has its own private balcony and the suite is attached to a private spa treatment room.

The Rehendi Presidential Suite is at the end of the pier with a spectacular view of the ocean. The suite includes a master bedroom, guest room, private balcony and sun deck, glasses bathroom, suspended deck filled with sand and a fresh water pool. It is absolute luxury.

     

FOOD & DRINK

The restaurants include 24 Degrees, a split level or al fresco, pan Asian restaurant and The Deep End Mediterranean restaurant which serves seafood, meats, fish and game. (This restaurant also caters well for vegetarians). The resort offers private beach dining and in villa dining (a la carte menu) as well.

The main bar on the island is The Equator Bar where guests can choose from a variety of good wines and a cigar list.
